Greetings I’ve heard that players might be awarded a special berets for many things like “surviving early versions”… does that mean Unturned 2.0?

All the special berets you can possibly get
White Beret (Formally “White Hat”): Earned by finding a security issue and reporting it instead of abusing it.
Orange (Experienced) Beret: Earned by getting 2,400+ hours in Unturned.
Hot Pink (Debuggers) Beret: Earned by reporting a crucial bug or exploit in the game rather than abusing it.
Crimson Beret: Was Earned by playing Unturned before it was released on Steam. (No longer obtainable, unless you have evidence that you did play it before it was released on Steam. )
Gold Beret: Was Earned by playing Unturned before it was released on Steam. (No longer obtainable, unless you have evidence that you did play it before it was released on Steam. )
Navy Blue (Early Access) Beret: Was Earned by playing Unturned while it was still in Early Access. (No longer obtainable )

I believe you had to have gold during that period to get the gold beret.

Visually? One is gold, the other is crimson.
You needed gold for both. That would’ve been the only way for you to have gotten the Steam product key.

The Shiny Screenshot Contest Sweater is for having a screenshot accepted into the game to be used as a loading screen. The Early Access T-Shirt was given to those who played during early access. The Twitch T-Shirt is given to notable Unturned streamers.
The Gold Bowtie, Gold Monocle, Gold Suit Bottom, Gold Suit Top, Gold Tie, Gold Tophat, Gold Tuxedo Bottom, Gold Tuxedo Top, Gold Katana, and Gold Desert Falcon are obtained by owning the Permanent Gold Upgrade DLC.

As Molt said, color. But if my memory is correct when you bought the premium upgrade back in 2013-2014 during 1.0 you would get 3 pre-access keys, one for yourself and the two other for friends so you would get both Gold and Crimson and your friends only crimson, however I’m not entirely sure about the last part.
Of course when i ask about the difference, i won’t be asking about the color because the answer is too obvious. I was asking about how to obtain them. And it seemed like you answered my question, thank You

Playing Deadzone does not give you berets.
