Can we bring the survival back?

As you may know, Unturned changed a lot. More than 75% of all servers are PvP servers. I remember the old days
when 3.0 came out and it was a whole new look at the survival in Unturned. But the comunity changed, Unturned began
to be more likely as a PvP game and survival is forgotten. And if you find a survival server, it is mostly with kits or it have a market to buy some stuff. So you play on that server for 20 mins and got a gas can, blowtorch, grizzly etc. already!
And lots of workshop maps were firgitten as well, ike the driftless map or Overgrown 3+.
These maps are one of the best survival maps, ond now half of the players dont even know about it.

It is sad to read this, as well as writing this post.

Sadly, Unturned has changed. Can we start playing survival more? Best are the servers with lots of ā€˜ā€˜Vanillaā€™ā€™ workshop.

Now iā€™m asking the owners of servers, (the ones that are using USO and dont want to make money from it)
To change their look at Unturned server and start adding good workshops and deleting kits and block gas can in the market and disable rocketmod! Iā€™m an owner of a server as well, and i changed my own look at 3.0 survival.

I do agree.

I canā€™t stand going on a vanilla server and seeing how reliant these people are to /kits, /tpa, /i, /exp, /warps and they end up embarrassing themselves by talking in world chat.

And yeah, I think we need more better workshops. Weā€™re starting to see strange things like a bra mod, or socks mod, which in my opinion are god awful. (seriously who would need these poorly made and obnoxious items?)

We canā€™t change the entire demographic. Iā€™m pretty sure all of us on here can agree that Rocketmod was the downfall of 3.0. In 4.0 it will change, but Nelson took the mistake of listening to what the Steam forums wanted. ā€˜New guns Nolson!ā€™ they chanted. ā€˜Missile truck pl0x!ā€™ they said. And you know what happened, those were added. We canā€™t change it back, 3.0ā€™s survival is dead. So letā€™s not make the same mistakes on 4.0.

Yeah, i hope that 4.0 will change. It will be a whole new look at a zombie survival. Also i dont understand how someone can call a ā€˜ā€˜Survival Serverā€™ā€™ a pvp server on easy with kits!

With some better workshops, workshops you dont know, clans on survival servers, fighting mega together, saying OMG

12 year olds are too shit to play. Sure, Iā€™m not the best, but I donā€™t like PvP that much. I showed my friend who loves KitPvP a vanilla server, and guess what he said when he joined?

I totally agree with you. The thing that makes me feel even worse is, when a player join a server, he types /kits
and it dont do anything, so he leaves the server.

Only the fun thing about this is that in Unturned, there is a same amount of kits as well as kids :pensive:

This. Although 4.0 might also be a graphical and mechanical update, itā€™s also meant to revive PvE Unturned gameplay without re-doing the mess of content and spaghetti code in 3.0.

this topic is ment to be for 3.0, it is also it the name :weary:

  1. A full rework of in-game mechanics would take a long time to eventually revise most of 3.0, especially with 4.0 in development and 3.0 getting bug fixes regularly. Itā€™d be far easier to start with a blank slate with 4.0 and Nelson could build off that and turn it into the survival PvE game heā€™s looking forward to.

  1. This is purely a community-based opinion, and to force most to all 3.0 players to conform to what you think is best (even if people agree) is near impossible and a rude gesture, as youā€™re asking them to play your way when they own their servers and can do as they please with it.

TL;DR: Subjective views should not be forced on the community by Nelson nor anyone here. Who cares if they like playing on maps that you think are bad? Itā€™s their server, not yours to micromanage. I know lots of people enjoy /kits. Even as the hardcore radical survival-based player of the Modject community, Iā€™d be lying if I said Iā€™ve received no enjoyment from playing on kit-based servers.

I feel like unturned needs to be a system of so called ā€œranksā€ and people higher than you can kill you but you canā€™t damage them as easily. You start out as a civilian and go to farmer, government (police,fire, ect), soldier, spec ops, ect. In my opinion PvP wouldnā€™t be a thing unless we can have the suggestion I made

So basically it turns into whoever kills the most becomes the Apex Predator, and theyā€™re rewarded for this byā€¦ being harder to kill??? Why should a pro-KoS system exist in 4.0, which is vocally more PvE based?
