Character Mesh Override - texture overlay option

We all know how normal vanilla clothing works right?
Character has model(head, torso, legs, etc) and texture(skin color and a face of choice) and any clothing like Shirt and Pants overlays its texture on character texture and keeping it there.

Character Mesh Override items has an option to replace vanilla Character texture with your own.
But.
What if I want to have my own texture and keep the vanilla one?

That is what I suggest:
to have an option for custom material in Character Mesh Override to overlay the vanilla one and keep the skin color and face expression intact.
