Flagging posts

@moderators

Is it better to flag a post as “something else…” or as one of the preset reasons? Does the “inappropriate” flag include people attacking each other instead of ideas? What does the specific flag checked even do for moderators? Is it just a header for them, and so “something else” is just given a less useful header? Is it technically always better to use “something else” to describe your personal analysis of the concerning issue?

I feel like using the preset flags should be when there is an obvious breach of the rules,
I.E Severe profanity, obvious attacks on people, etc.

I’d say if you feel something doesn’t fit a certain criteria, use the “something else” and fill in what you think is appropriate for us to fully understand the situation. The number one thing that’s important is sending us that report. The reason is sub par behind that.
