we all know that unturned is using unity engine and to make a mod you have to go through unity after modeling , but how would that work in unturned 4.0, will there be a way to instantly import your model and tweak it ingame ? that would be almost impossible amirite ?
You can pretty easily export assets to Unreal 4 from Unity. Aside from textures and models, the rest would be done mostly from scratch, but the modding tutorials for Unreal 4 (and in some cases by them also iirc) are pretty good.
Nelson has stated that he wants to re-do the art style a little bit, thus he would just re-make all the models.
Arrgghhh, a modder’s worst nightmare: Re-doing a mod.
I’d be fine with a new or more advanced art style.
I see no reason to oppose it, plus it makes me want to learn better art style.
I think a new art style would be a good thing. I’ve seen many mods fail because their poly count/detail did not fit the art style.
So true I despise mods that have weird looking guns or cars
