Let's make the Weapon Light USEFUL. / Light source and eye system

Hi.

Apparently in 3.0(Of course an example), the Tactical light is

THE MOST DISAPPOINTING ATTACHMENTS
IN UNTURNED.

And I have an idea, and watched some YT vids, so today I’ll talk about the Weapon Light.(WL for short.)

WL should affect against a Night Vision Device.

As you can see, the NVG(Night Vision Goggle, NVG for short.) won’t work well in a bright places.

So, I brought an idea: The WL should disable or make the NVG user blind when its user is staring the WL.

The WL should make anyone dazzle in a dark places./ Player’s viewpoint should be adapted in a dark places.

This idea is based on OUR real life. For example:

I wanted sleep because I’m exhausted, so I turned off the light at 11’o Clock, and slept but after 2 hours…
I suddenly want to go bathroom because my stomach hurts bad, so I woke up and turned on the light and…
BOOM AHHHHH MY EYEEES! I felt like I got flashbanged.
My eyes were started to dazzle and I didn’t know what the freak is going on and where the freak am I staring.

And I went dark places with no light sources from the bright places, I didn’t see anything but soon, I did see well in a night time.

Main article
The WL should make the enemy dazzle when they’re in a dark places for a long time and stared the WL.

And player’s viewpoint should be adaptive against a light sources.

Well, you know, lights makes you dazzle in a dark places.

And in real life, our pupils will be adapted in a dark places to see well.

My idea should work like this: (WITH the third idea.)
Went the dark places from the bright places - gamma value should be lower than the previous settings -
1 minutes later - gamma value should be slightly higher than the previous settings -
Staying in a dark places for 13 Minutes - getting weaker against the light sources -
15 Minutes(2 minutes later) - eyes became weaken against light sources.

.
.

And people will likely to say:
Wait a minute you ask, isn’t that OP?

Well, as you can see, you’ll think it is OP.
But nope, it’s a part of the realism. And it’s balanced.

But you know, basically the NVG and the WL is like:
WL: King of the CQB at night time
NVG: King of the FIELD FIGHT at night time
.

ADDED: (Q) WHAT HAPPENS if two of the WL users are met and stared each other?

(A): Dazzle effects will be decreased to 30%! Since both of them have the light source and both of themselves’ eyes were adapted.

And, I hope my idea interested you.

NOTE: WL means any light sources in other word. XD

Hmmmmmm. I would like to go around with a tactical light and blind freshspawns. I do think something good should be that if you’re using nightvision, you should be almost blinded by the light.

Very solid idea, will make the tactical light ACTUALLY USEFUL for even PVP,than just a light on your gun.

I liked your ideas, but the gamma changing thing in dark places is too much and unnecessary work for Nelson.
My idea is that gamma should stay in one setting all the time, and not be able to be changed from the settings.

Tactical lights should be bright enough to blind anyone at close range.

That’s how they are realistically, and it would also give tactical lights a buff, since nobody really uses them currently due to how they pretty much just give you away.

Yup, and also, Unturned’s night time should be very dark.

Isn’t that counted as a torture?

I love the idea, that would make the players to think if its better to wear a nightvision or a flashlight instead of having the nightvision everytime…

I thought about that and concluded: YEAH, AT LEAST it’s better than the spawn-killing. Non-lethal is better than killing.

I forgot what’s the scientific term for getting used to bright lights for a period of time

You mean getting blind?
