What if we players can customize on really awesome ways our vehicles in 4.x, in an effort to change the disaster that 3.x makeshift cars represent?
Well this is it about: what you guys think if we introduce real-life-ish mechanic aspects for vehicles repairing and customization? We had already fuel, tires and batteries as parts of a vehicle to keep it rolling, but from my personal perspective, this isn’t enough if we want something truly polished.
I’d like that players could be allowed to change substancial parts from vehicles for better or custom performance, like the engine and any inner mechanic aspect that comes with that (keeping it simple for a survival game ofc), aside of course from stuff like wheels, painting and windshields. My idea is to bring a basic concept of car building to 4.x so that players can turn any common car into an unstoppable racing machine, an outstanding 4x4, or maybe the common choice would be to make armored and nicely looking fixed cars (probably someone would be tempted by the idea of mounting guns on cars).
Ik that this makes kind of some implications, like the fact of having to create a huge diversity of components, parts and pieces for this to be possible, as for cars to need al full pieces to function properly, according to the vehicle’s capacity or its compatibility to be equipped with certain gear. This also would mean that vehicles will be harder to maintain, but this also can be balanced making them not that easy to destoy.
Regardless of what mentioned above, this also would add complexity to the vehicles theme, so I guess many people will look toward stealing cars for their pieces rather than destroying it for the scrap metal if it’s owned by anyone else, LMAO.
