One more week till Map Mania concludes. Hope everyone has had a good time working on their projects. Now it’s time to start concluding development of them. See you all in a week.

Bro you gotta move on with your life at this point, I love the work you did for Unturned. However, the constant moping around the forums and complaining is not going to solve anything or get you anywhere, it’s honestly pretty embarassing and is only reaffirming SDG’s “reasons” for blacklisting you.

Witness has a point. Just want to have a little fun in regard to this event. Any criticisms can be put elsewhere. Mean no disrespect to anyone, but this game is my passion, not my career.
Does the contest end 24 hour after this comment, the end of April 1st at GMT-0 or April 2nd like stated in the submission form?
It’s not really that clear and is rather contradictory at times.

Once all submissions are in, I will post a steam collection with the submissions and post a poll for the community to vote on what project was there favorite. Along with more information on what happens next.

I would like to personally thank everyone who participated in MapMania. We didn’t have this style of event in a long time. I wanted to reinvigorate people to make stuff again and this event achieved that. I’d like to also thank SDG for giving out awards for this event as well. To the people who might be runners up, I’ll be personally giving an award out of my own pocket for your participation.
There will be a separate post once the winners are announced. We are planning to get the results posted up before the 7th, so if all things go well it should be up relatively soon. To give some insight into the voting process we are all independently going to judge projects based on the criteria so that our thoughts don’t sway one another. The Judges will be revealed on the winners’ post so you’ll have to wait for that reveal.
Personally I will be recording my part of the judging process and hopefully will be posting a video shortly after the winners’ post.

Y’know, I feel like this would’ve gotten a few more submissions if it was advertised better
There’s literally one message in UO talking about it and it’s from someone criticizing it. There’s a large amount of people who don’t look in here that completely missed out on it because it can only be found on the forums. UO is the main talking place for Unturned and it doesn’t make sense why this competition wasn’t really posted anywhere on there

The idea is unoriginal and a cheap imitation of the map jam, this specific event was practically born in controversy and like the majority of people who participated in the map jams got shafted or had friends shafted by SDG. I do not think advertising was the issue
