In case of death, the item is returned to the slot it was in (if possible). For example, I can add this property to Chart, put it in the first Hands slot, and it will always be there.

I don’t really like this idea. The inventory system is stable. Also, Unturned is supposed to be challenging game.
I think @gloa233 might have been joking, but they’re correct that there’s a few difficulty settings you can enable if you want to keep your inventory on death.
Alternatively – if you’re specifically interested in the Chart, there’s a setting to have players always have the chart view available to them.
If you want players to respawn with specific items, you could also use the /loadout
command.
