Will there be better sound design?

Bullets travel faster than the speed of sound, and light emitting from the muzzle flash travels at the speed of light. My question is if there will better sound design. Here’s an example: When firing a gun, and you are the victim at a far distance, you see the muzzle flash first, bullet wizz, and then the sound of the gun firing. Knowing how fast the speed of sound travels will help you determine how far the shooter is. Kind of like lightning. You see the flash and than boom. Each second you don’t hear the boom equals 2km. So estianlly, you see the action first, and then the sound.

Better sound design and quality is needed overall… Campfires drowned out gun fights they where so loud.
