Well, lemme answer correctly. Like the rework of explosions and sentries, especially the reduction of HMG damage. I will miss Skycrane funny moments with the new update :slight_smile: But I’m a little dubious about the increase in Nikorev and Dragonfang pellets.

The best part for me… I LOVE to see this back

Maplestrikes can accept grip attachments again.

I quite like the changes to grips, I think universally stronger recoil is a great step in the right direction

Hello, I like them a lot! But currently the sentry vehicle targeting only works if the enemy player locks the vehicle, this will %100 be used by players to bypass the sentries by unlocking their Helicopter/Car. I dont know if a system where the sentry can check the Pilot seat player’s group can be implemented, but thats whats needed right now.

I like the ability to add grips to maple, didn’t really notice anything different with the trees, then again it may just be a russia thing. The treads work great, but I would wonder if it’s possible to make them more realistic? Like a actual caterpillar track system, hypothetically I mean. If it is, then I am sure mods will get to it eventually. But yeah, anyways, overall I love it a lot and I hope you all have a wonderful holiday!

Edit: Also thank you for the update Nelson, and may I suggest you take this time to rest? Your wife said your not doing so well and some R&R can do wonders for the mind and body. Plus it boosts creativity!

Dear Nelson Sexton,

To speak the voice of many players, from Freezzer, Kodak, Predel, Chile Sandbox; We did not want this update. The dragonfang should not have ever been considered to shoot 3 bullets at a time. Increasing the maplestrike recoil yet reintroducing the grip was a horrible decision as now even in sandbox servers adding the grip through a command does nothing. I have 4000 hours in this game watching it crumble after each update. half of my hours are on arid, I can control recoil with no problem that is not the issue. The issue is that there are playerbases that want recoil, and ones who dont. The people who want recoil should stick to the curated maps such as Arid, Escalation, and Polaris etc. who are correctly updating their map consistently. Removing their curated status is going to kill this game. The players who want minimum recoil like to play vanilla so they can demonstrate their aim correctly. If you fail to realize that your game is mostly centered around more competitive players you should rethink. Also this is introducing more issues such as cheaters who cannot control recoil and download .ahk scripts to completely bypass these updates, i have seen battleeye ban wave after ban wave proving this.

I sincerely think you should revert the changes of the dragonfang as hitreg being a big part of this game introducing more bullets being shot = more chances of your shot not registering, if you like the aesthetic of multiple bullets being shot, at the very least reduce the player damage x3.

You have a flawed perception of what your community is satisfied with. Open up any unturned Discord server and you will see in any general chat hundreds of people complaining about this update. These people who post on the forum with only 100 hours that will never touch the game after this update should not alter your opinion whatsoever of changing such historically valued and majorly stapled guns of this game such as the maplestrike or dragonfang as drastically as you have been. I offer you to take what i have said into consideration as i am speaking the opinion of a lot of players whom have consistently been playing your game for years on end.

In my opinion the next steps to fixing this game is to Create official servers so people from all around the world have a better experience dealing with hitreg. 5x max skills servers for example.
Introducing consistent updates such as more player made cosmetics could also bring in more players.

TLDR; DO NOT BAN RENAXON AND DANABY (they carry ur game) DECREASE MAPLESTRIKE RECOIL, DRAGONFANG SHOULD NOT SHOOT 3 BULLETS PER SHOT.
LISTEN TO THE PEOPLE WHO ARE MORE EDUCATED.

Hello Nelson, After playing through this update, I can confidently conclude that the game’s decline is accelerating. Many hotspot servers that were once thriving have either vanished or are on the verge of disappearing. Take Buak, for example a map primarily designed for survival and PvE. We’ve already seen that experiment fail; no one plays Buak because the community it targets simply doesn’t exist in this game anymore. There are countless better games that people migrate to, offering superior optimization, richer questlines, and more engaging gameplay. Point 1: Confirmation Bias If you’re only seeking positive feedback about the past three updates, this forum might seem supportive. However, if you check the Unturned Discord server, you’ll find that the consensus among players is that this has been a terrible update. A vast number of YouTube videos also highlight issues, particularly with how broken the Dragonfang is. From my own experience, when I first played Arid, I found it extremely challenging due to the excessive recoil at the time. I was constantly outmatched by more experienced players who had no trouble managing the recoil. Adding more recoil will objectively make the game harder for newer players, driving them away. Point 2: Recoil Changes If you genuinely want to retain newer players, consider implementing a system like Predel’s, which has minimal recoil but introduces bullet drop. This approach allows newer players to focus on strategy rather than getting obliterated by veteran players. It levels the playing field, giving them a chance to compete. Additionally, many players aren’t necessarily frustrated by recoil itself but by the camera shake when firing weapons, which feels more like a bug than a feature. Point 3: PVP Community and Accessibility If the goal is to nerf experienced tryhards, one solution would be to restrict how editable the game files are—such as preferences.json and bundle files. Allowing these modifications only benefits long-time players who understand how to exploit them. This constant targeting of the PvP community, as seen in comments like “can you Maplestrike enjoyers maintain dominance?” has done little to address deeper issues. Dominance persists through methods like AHK mouse scripting, and the abundance of hackers exacerbates the problem. Poor BattlEye moderation has left many players frustrated. A quick glance at Discord communities and responses on the SDG forums reveals that this update has been poorly received by both veterans and new players alike.

Right XDDDDDDDD, I also play other games alike, such as Pixel Gun 3D, and I’ve never encountered issues like stretch resolution abusing, reg editing, launch options, deleting muzzle flash, or players abusing TAA glitches to see others behind walls. These are far more critical problems to address than targeting players who’ve already mastered recoi lmao.

Including players going to PAID third party apps such as crosshair X because the game has a horrible crosshair customization system. amen

If it was just one balance, then sure, but when there is almost a balance change to the game every single update, it gets tiring getting used to a recoil and it just gets nerfed and nerfed then randomly boosted then nerfed again.

I don’t really see why you keep changing weapon balance constantly and in such a poor way, every single update now it seems a new nerf is added for seemingly no reason mainly starting from removing the maplestrike grip to now returning the grip just with more base recoil on the gun and increasing recoil of all guns by decreasing grips from 60% to 40% and reducing the strength of sharpshooter from 50% to 40%. from what I have seen these changes to recoil have only been taken negatively and where never asked for in the first place?. From what I have tried all this has done is make guns less fun / un usable to the point where I don’t see a point in playing vanilla anymore due to these changes

The dragon fang and hells fury also seemed just strange where was the thought process in making a LMG and mini gun into full auto shotguns?

Other parts of updates are very good though. The new trees, car physics, tank tracks and general quality of life updates have all been great. I just don’t see the direction this is going in for overall weapon balance, Change is good for balance but I think there are significantly better ways to go around it apart from just increasing recoil 2x on the most used weapons.

I don’t like when you can’t put grip on MapleStrikes which is dumb in my opinion n everyone else. The recoil on maplestrike and zubeknakov is so screwed up like it’s harder to hit people which is not fun it’s gives such a disadvantage.
