About Raiding

There are some things that I think that should be in 4.x’s raiding sistem.
• Raiding gives players bad reputation, and players that stop raiders receives good reputation points(this should discourage raiding, if reputation points become more relevant).
• You should be able to take down a wooden wall with an axe, a saw and a sledgehammer, and a brik wall should be taken down with a sledgehammer. You could olny damage them with stamina powered hits, normal hits wouldn’t be able to damage wall and similars.
• Yes, you can take down a wall with a minigun, but just it, not high caliber snipers. Ammu for miniguns should be really rare, and they shouldn’t appear with horde beacons, horde beacons should give only xp boost and the items of the zombies itself, not super rare items.
• You should be able to damage a wall with a car hit, but one hit would take the car’s health to zero(without explosion, that’s not how cars accidents happens):
1 hit for wooden walls, 2 hits for brick walls, 4 or 5 for metal walls, and so it goes.

We want bases to be harder and more difficult
Not easier for the raiders

Also, there is no way for the game to tell if you’re raiding or just getting a wall out of the way

Wooden bases will always , in all the galaxies, be the easiest raidable base. If you want a secure base, you would have to build a metal base. Raidind should be more realistic. A wooden base is very fragile, not indestructible. If a thin wooden wall is indestructible, a thick tree should be too. Just remebering that my post isn’t all about axe raiding…

I didn’t say anything about an Axe. I said sledgehammer. Wooden walls can take a small beating tho, especially when the wall is made up of the log itself which takes 200 bullets to take down /s
I still don’t want your average everyday tools to raid bases, because if we go by that logic (mixed with realism), any base can be raided with a sledgehammer or an axe, whether concrete walls or wooden walls, these tools will make it through eventually. So no, for the sake of balance, I will disagree with you

Make wooden and brick bases undestructible dont balance the game, just make it easy to hide your loot, this is far from survival.

I never said I want them to be indestructable, I just dont want a tool you can get anywhere on the map to raid bases.
Give them far less health and vulnerability to fire and military grade bullets (lots of them) not an axe

So build metal or better bases, or do you take down constructions with guns in your country?

This is a survival game
There’s a reason why wooden/brick bases are available. In case you couldn’t get enough materials to build that type of base, there are solutions and alternatives.

However, with your suggestion, a naked who just found an axe/sledgehammer can raid bases.
And that is something no one needs

A neked guy would raid a crap base, that probably another naked guy made. A pro player knows where to find materials and that stuff, and anyone can learn that.

Yea but what if you have to go to school/work then you can’t protect your base

Easy raiding has been 3.x’s most ongoing issue than base raiding being impossible. By making bases be infiltrated by simple tools means bases cease to have a purpose. You would feel the same as well regardless if you make a base or not

You know that form of logic is highly flawed for several years in this game, or rather joked around in communities. Your entire suggestion is still a way to make it easier by allowing melee weapons to be used.

Balance is a priority over realism

a naked with an ax after a long time will manage to break a wall (aprox 20 min). +hard game.
in real life you needed 1 axe and so much time. no 5 axe (wtf)
if you have a lot of patience you can raid with tools.
you can break a wall with a big gun. (bad idea)

Making crap bases easier to raid, and good bases harder to raid, will make people work for aprimorate their bases. You wont be able to take down a metal base with a sledgehammer, but a wooden base yes. This is part of survival.

I never said that gun will be the go-to for raiding. I just said that they can do minimal damage to weak bases. Just like you’re agreeing with a melee weapon being able to raid bases. A little biased there, my friend.
If it’s gonna take 5 Axes to break down a wall, why not put 500 bullets needed to break down a wall? It’s the same idea, except a melee weapon that you find in a common area will give naked people the ability to raid.

Again, this is a game. Realism shouldn’t be 100%. There should be balance.

If someone is making a base, most probably it’s not a naked guy because people make bases to store. It would just be a place holder till that player finds something better. We all used wooden crates in 3.x because we didn’t find a blowtorch yet so we were forced to use wood. And by your logic, that means we all have to be raided by nakeds because Axes are super easy to find. I found 6 axes in 20 minutes multiple times. And i don’t want some naked dude who just spawned to raid my base and take my shit while I am looking for better building materials

The axe is a common item because it’s a necessary tool to build bases. Or you can just craft one and voila, You’ll be ready to raid bases. And you can’t just say “he’ll die from the xombies”, he can easily sneak his way in and get it then raid bases. He’ll most likely find another axe because it’s a common tool. If not, there’s a sledgehammer. Nakeds raiding bases, no thanks
