Banned for anticheat

I’ve been banned from multiplayer just for lighting a fireplace, I thought it was a server error I was playing on but no.
First I appeared banned for 24 hours, which made me think it was a server thing, after insisting to enter I succeeded, after a while I had been expelled due to “corrupted data” and when I tried to enter again it told me that I have been banned from multiplayer without having done something bad, I honestly don’t remember having any application or installing/add a third party program to the game.

I know I didn’t do anything wrong since I’m a bit of a newbie to this game.

If you were falsely banned by the BattlEye anti-cheat, you should appeal through BattlEye Support. If you were banned by Valve Anti-Cheat, there is no appeal process.
