Being able to move around in vehicles, also while they are moving

This is not to big of a suggestion but I would enjoy this a lot if this would be a feature ingame

Moving inside/on top of vehicles, also while they are moving

It has always annoyed me that you are glued to your seat in all vehicles and that you can’t walk around in your boat when it is moving or how you can’t walk around in your plane or pickup truck when they are moving. I’d like to see a change to this in Ull.

So why would we want to be able to move around in moving vehicles?

Being a passenger would be more dynamic and you could be productive while traveling from
point A to point B. For example you could organize crates with loot in the back of your van after a raid, you could fish from your boat while your friend is “driving” it and maybe even push out airdrops packages from the back of your plane.

Some other examples on when this would be useful:

You could move to the back of your van and shoot at people who are
chasing you and your team

You could stand on the outside of your ship when it is moving and shoot at other
boats that are passing by (if ships make it to Ull)

Moving inside of the helicopter when it is flying and use a machine gun to provide
cover fire to your teammates

Or do it from an airplane

You could walk around on your boat and fish from it

But the question is if this would be possible?

I don’t know what it would take to make a system that would allow this, I was thinking about a system where the player would get connected to the vehicle in some way (I’m not sure what would be a good system to make this work in a good way).

Any ideas on this matter ???

I believe this has already been confirmed by Nelson in a previous DevLog.

You can actually already do this.

As of the Vehicle Demo and onwards, parented offset movement is implemented. You can, for example, exit the Blue Hatchback on a slope and jump on it as it rolls to surf it down the hill, and it’s not buggy at all compared to attempting to stand on a vehicle in U3.

Nelson has also mentioned future examples such as walking around in moving submarines.

Like others have said this is going to be in the game and it is very much possible. Im glad this will be added because its one of those small things that are sometimes overlooked but are very important

I really like the idea, and I think it’s extremely important, because even imagine a camping van

Imagine how cool it would be to be able to move inside her while a friend of yours drives! Sounds good to me.
