Why.
Can your friends not download Steam?
If they’ve been VAC banned, have them make an alt. Simple as that.
And Unturned 4.0 hasn’t been released yet, but you refer to it in the present tense. So are you talking about 3.0?

JUST DOWNLOAD STEAM, it’s not so hard.

Ur friends can’t get steam
Mkay

oof (10 more oofs)

Pretty sure it’s gonna be made so you don’t need steam to run the game.

Tell us why.

its gonna be on the unreal launcher with fortnite

It’s not going to be on the Epic Launcher.

This is a misconception that I see in a lot of places. And before you link that devlog you think Nelson said that in, double check that. Nelson said the modding tools for creating content will be on the Epic Launcher, but not 4.0 itself.

If you can’t get Steam, which is free and takes little space on its own, how the heck are you going to get 4.0?

there wasnt a devlog with it, but i did hear it from other sources including an interview if i recall correctly, regardless we will see and im not talking about the epics games launcher, i mean the unreal launcher, those two may be interconnected but dont be confused

This “Unreal Launcher” doesn’t exist.

Well Nelson is still using something to make it so you can open unturned without steam.

Then how will we be supposed to download it with your logic ?

Ahem, it can be downloaded on steam but Nelson is going to make a way for you to be able to open the game without it going through the entire steam bootup process. So basically you will be able to start it without steam, but still use steam with it. I don’t know much about how it works but Nelson has said it or something like it somewhere.

Not quite, Nelson has said he wants the game to be able to run independently from Steam or any other launcher. That isn’t really relevant to this either.

The way you’re describing it sounds like you’re jumping to a few conclusions about how this will actually work.

The best idea is to not make it Steam-free

That’s basically what I meant -_-
.
I dunno. Maybe I explained it wrong… Dunno.

I really don’t think they can grasp the concept of nelson using a launcher outside of steam to boot or download the game, he may even use his website so you can download it and boot independent of any other software

Who are you referring to when you say that?

Because the only two mediums 4.0 may be available on are the Steam port and a standalone launcher perhaps. There’s no confusion regarding the concept, just misinformation on what Nelson has actually said.
