Cannot open blender files in Unity

I was trying to make a gun skin for Unturned but i cannot open the blender files on the folder, this is a image when I imported the files to unity 5.5.0f3 I got an error in it said that cannot convert .blender to fbx but the file from the gun folder where alleready fbx. How can I fix this problem? Im using the latest blender version.

Unity doesn’t open .blend files if that’s what you meant. Export it instead

First of all, I assume you have blender installed.

Go into explorer and copy that blender file where you will have easy access to it, open blender and open the file. If you have done edits to it you may just paste it in your unity later.

I never got my unity to open blender files by default so I open them the way I described above.
