I mean I thought of this idea not 100% through but maybe fin cars rammed into buildings, light posts, and other things like trash cans they should be knocked over or in the case of a home, a part of then house should be broken.

If small objects yes, houses no. Most cars are pretty much tin can with highly explosive liquid inside of them.
I’m all for destruction of things like doors, windows, and interior walls, but exterior walls I’m undecided about. If you make a glancing blow to a wall while trying to turn a tank or large truck I’d like to be able to say you take some hit points but still pass through, but on the other hand I’d rather not have players leveling cities or hiding tanks inside houses.
