Firstly, we had the 10th-anniversary boxes for 10 scraps, now we have Halloween bags for 10 scraps, and Nelson is planning another box for scrap (ComboCrate 2024). Additionally, I think we will have another box for Christmas, and it’s all great, we all love to see new cosmetics for free.
Free? Well, they aren’t free anymore, since there is no way of getting scrap since free playtime drops were disabled 2 years ago. We don’t have any source of scrap anymore and Nelson keeps adding more scrap-based cosmetics to the game, without providing any source of it.
“But uhh you can scrap drops from boxes, can’t you??”
Yeah sure, go ahead and pay 1.5 USD per curated box just to get 2/3 scraps.
“But there are still a lot of cheap skins on the steam market, you can buy them and scrap them”
Their price will rise with each scrap box and their amount will drop down until nothing is left. Can’t wait to pay 1 dollar for orange peacemaker in 2026!!
I think Nelson should consider revamping scrap system, before adding another way of spending scrap. If I remember correctly, CSGO had playtime drops only for players with prime accounts. We have gold upgrade in Unturned. People would have to bot for few years before their gold upgrade would pay off. That’s just one suggestion and there is much more ways of fixing this problem.
I fully agree with you. Scrap is no more free. This boxes should be available to everyone. Return free items system. Make it only for GOLD accounts. Why not? A lot of games like Banana, Egg and so on (afk clickers) like even they give free items.
To make it harder for bots to grind just make that you need to play in a server/singleplayer for 6 hours then you have to quit and press button to get a free skin. Maybe add like a captcha to claim free drop. Please do something about it.
I don’t think having to play for 6 hours would be a good idea, some people cant play that long. I think just having more complicated quests that are not too hard, like completing a horde beacon or certain NPCs
Useless, people can cheat and teleport so it will be easy. I mean in general to get 6 hours play time. Not like in one session. Just to get 6 hours in a week.
