I tried every single recommendation to fix this, even tried to change resolution, download&update drivers, guides on youtube, guides on steam, nothing helped, just wanted to play old, truly beautiful and wonderful game, but this error ruined everything, error says “switching to resolution 1366x768 failed.” "screen: DX11 could not switch resolution (1366x768 fs = 1 hz = 0). i have Directx 12, that’s may be problem, i don’t know. help please.

Are all of your drivers (e.g. your graphics driver) up-to-date?
Ignore if this isn’t something that would affect this, but have you checked if the options config file is read only? I had an antivirus set an options config file as read only for whatever reason and it was refusing to change the settings (this was for a different game though)
