it would be useful if you can carry a pistol/knife and a flashlight at the same time

Instead of making it so you can carry a pistol and a knife, why not just be able to hit zombies and players with a gun you are holding… like slam them with a magazine or a hand grip or like in L4D2

I imagine the knife will be very useful when the ammunition runs out, as the flashlight will be basically an improvised tatical light.
