I remember looking at a post from a LONG time ago, way back before the barn lobby screen. It was a post by Wishing1, where they were having issues saving a map, Nelson responded and asked if only some things saved and others didn’t. Thing is, I’ve been having this same issue ALOT lately, it has occasionally been able to be fixed by re-inputting a level.dat or removing/adding a config.json, but now it seems to have completely screwed my game’s map editor. when I make a new map and save it, the spawns folder and editor folder don’t even generate. and for existing maps, they don’t save. no matter how new or old the map in question is. I’m really frustrated, if anyone knows how to fix this or literally anything to help, please reply. I’m out of ideas.

I uninstalled my mods and reinstalled them, and it’s suddenly perfectly fine.

were you subscribed to the map you were editing on the workshop? That can cause weird issues.
