It has been an honor to work alongside Yarr for as many years as I have been able to. He has been a part of the community since the beginning. Now, as Yarr is retiring from the community, it is time to say farewell. I have no doubts when I say that he has had a profound impact on the game and its various communities.
Yarr has stepped down from his administrative roles on the Steam Discussions forum, our SDG Forum, the game wikis, and the official Discord server.
I am extremely happy for him to have stuck around for as long as he has, and I know there are many veterans who will be sad to see him retire. Best wishes to Yarr, and whatever he focuses his time towards next!
I’ve known Yarrrr for a long time. He’s been around since the earliest memories I’ve had of Unturned, always a major player on the steam forums, although I always wish I could’ve gotten to know him better. I suppose a 15 thousand kilometer difference wasn’t exactly helping that much haha. Still sad to see him go, as he’s always been one of the greats, always involved in whatever major activities were going on at the time, and extremely knowledgeable about the game.
A shame I would leave this community, but I’m tired and I think being around since the very start over 7 years ago is a bit too much for me. (And yes I will now touch some grass even if they’re non-existent in my aussie backyard) .
Thank you Nelson for making a simple yet wonderful game to enjoy playing when I was a little younger on a mediocre device. Again thank you for hiring this unremarkable individual into the forum team, and giving me silent recognition with the coolest hat I could own in this game.
Thanks MoltonMontro/Tyler for being a chill and collected person I ever met. I feel a little bad for slacking off in wiki or forum but I praise your work and effort into doing the things I couldn’t do.
Thank the mapmakers and other content creators for giving this game extended life and some enjoyable content to explore.
And thanks to everyone I’ve met, seen or heard of in this community for keeping my interest here intact for long. I regret not being able to do a better job or being more respectful as I could but I hope I’ve satisfied enough people with my presence.
It was an honor to work alongside you in the Discord. I am sad to hear you are leaving the community as a whole, you will be missed. Good luck in your future endeavours!
Reaver, Song, Lu, Yarrr, everyone made a good choice leaving this behind. My eternal respect to Yarrr for being around so long and I wish him well in life. Hopefully we get to see each other one more time at the crossroads, friend.
