A short suggestion. I think that gamemode mods/custom gamemodes should be featured in the game for a short time (similar to curated maps in 3.x). This would add a more varied style of gameplay, with official servers adding the gamemodes, which would make the game seem a bit more varied and a little less repetitive.

I plan on organizing people together to get a TTT module/game-mode working for 4.0. I have zero coding experience, but its moreso to gather people who have the tools and experience to come together and help get it going
@Fiffe has been working on a Battle Royale mod for a long time, but I haven’t heard anything of it recently.
