You could also fire back. They would have worse percision than you. And the guns in the helicopter itself would be more percise/hard hitting. And if you are in a forest realistically you could walk around some tree, but being in a open field is dangerous by itself.
I agree we should focus on the main survival elements first but if possible I think there should be a 2 man gunner aircraft.
