Glass shattering in UII

Glass in UII should (although not realistically) shatter in different pieces.
Let’s say we have a window, and you shoot at it. It cracks and maybe has some little chunks falling off of it. Shoot at it again, and more shards and chunks fly out and so on until there is nothing left.
Of course, it doesn’t have to be tiny extremely GPU intensive shards. The best option is to try and make the pieces as GPU/CPU friendly as possible so low-end hardware can also run it.
This is just a suggestion and doesn’t need to be badly criticized just because it is “stupid”. I understand this might seem stupid, but I just like lots of destruction. A lot of Game Developers have managed to create very GPU friendly glass shattering and I would love to see it in UII!

So essentially Half-Life 2 glass, of which one shot will break off a piece of the glass pane and shatter the rest, where the pane is still standing but weak enough to break off when throwing items at it or by walking through it?

Yea, kinda like it. Just depends what kind of glass it is. Some glass shatters like the Half-Life 2 glass but other glasses shatter in bigger shards.
