Greece Bugs

Hello I recently opened a vanilla server on Greece map and my player TurboAnt found some issues with it.

Broken canals exits

1st issue is when TurboAnt was doing “Missing in Action” quest he couldn’t exit the canals, because two exits there didn’t work. I checked map editor and it looks like only one exit is working properly. He was really confused, because he only checked the other two and thought he was stuck. I think the other two exits should be fixed, because players think they are stuck.

Trikala Supply Recovery quest problem

2nd issue is with the “Trikala Supply Recovery”. Turbo already found 2nd and 3rd cache, but he couldn’t pick up the 1st cache, because it wasn’t there.

I checked map editor again and the cache is actually there but for some reason players can’t see it even when they have the mission active.

Me and players of my vanilla server would really appreciate fixes. We are trying to bring Greece back to life, but we also want to make sure that it’s possible to finish the whole quest line :slight_smile:

Tool Tips

He told me that he spent hours searching for Jackhammer but could never find one. I checked the spawn tables and it seems like they aren’t spawning anywhere neither in airdrops. That would be fine, but there’s a Tool Tips quest that requires you to find one.

Magazines ammo switching

Other not critical but possible QOL improvement is that you can refill Chimera Magazines with Military magazines or drums, but you can’t do this the other way around. He asked if it would be possible to add an opposite option to move bullets from Chimera Magazine to Military Drums or Magazines too.

Wrath of the Titans I

While doing this quest he says the Earthquake Titan didn’t spawn and he could climb the ladder to get outside the map.

Thanks for the bug reports!

I agree that it’d make sense to take a look at Greece in the future and fix any lingering bug reports / add any missing content. Possibly after (or along with) the bug fixes and tweaks already planned for Hawaii.

The trees on Greece use speedtree debris/ragdolls, likely unintentional?

There’s a floating road on the bridge by the Tsagkarada Camp.

There’s a piece of debris (?) clipping through the floor in the hardware store in Volos.

The iron sights from greece guns have no “new” scrapping options!!

I think this bridge is not tagged as “soft”, although I haven’t dug into the files to fact-check this.

I was debating whether to type anything about this in specific because it’s also present in some strictly vanilla content but on this map it’s even more present - smoothing issues. This is mostly related to the widely used ramps/stairs and this is likely not an exhaustive list, some of it might be bit of a personal preference but some of it creates ugly enough artifacts that I think it’s worth mentioning. Most of these should be resolved by looking at the raw model and marking few edges as sharp, and using the auto smooth in blender at a reasonable angle and setting the normal mode to “import” in Unity, hopefully I’m clear here but I can go more in-depth on fixing it if needed.

These fences, I don’t know the exact idea here but I suppose at least the top of them were supposed to be smoothed, if not the pillars aswell.

These pillars were probably intentionally not smoothed but I reckon they would look better if everything except the main pillar was actually smoothed.

This building was already mentioned but I decided to draw over it this time to highlight how roofs could benefit from some sharp edges aswell, there’s few similar cases. Also I just noticed the building in the background also has some ugly smoothed ramps.

This building curiously has the ramp not smoothed (I suppose it exceeded the automatic smoothing angle) but the roof is less than ideal.

There’s also a question of gameplay / item spawns that is even more of a personal preference and while there is a lot that can be said about this map I think it’s worth bringing up that gasmask/filters are obtained from fire stations, which are located in only one city - Farsala, both of the fire stations for some reason. No other city has them, making obtaining gasmask/filters quite a boring prospect as all you have to do is run between 2 spots in one city. This would be very slightly more interesting of a process if the fire stations were spread out between few cities.

Another edit, before uninstalling this map I peeked into the error log with -ValidateAssets enabled, mostly harmless errors but a very long list nonetheless :sweat_smile:

Unpdated Vehicles
All map exclusive vehicles do not have the updated driving physics and cannot be painted.

3500 - Spartan

3502 - Cerberus
3503 - Metafora
3504 - Police Jeep
3505 - Grasslands Chinook
3506 - Orthrus (also why does the turret on this have inverted vertical controls?!)
3507 - Grasslands Ural
3508 - Grasslands Offroader
3509 - Grasslands Armored Offroader
3510 - Grasslands Transport Heli
3511 - Grasslands Tank
and also the delivery truck from hawaii that spawns
has the same issue.

Perfect Form
The titan zombie actually spawned but mega zombies / ghost zombies refuse to spawn.
I have no idea why it’s broken since the lighthouse anomaly ghost quest sucessfully spawns the ghost zombie.

Lancer Scope

It worked fine before and showed the proper reticle. I cannot attach a second image of it working before. Now it moves every weapon to the side like this.

Greece needs some changes and bug fixes indeed…

All of the maps furniture received new models with the npc update to the map but probably unintentional every single furniture piece has only gotten one color option that being green.

This footage taken from MLBBs Dec 28, 2017 Greece Stream showcases the Lamia police station before the major update showing a coherent looking building.


But after the update this is what it looks like

Yellow and green dont mix well I would say.

The most logical reason for probably the Modz2Much Team not going out of their way to make the props not fit in with the colored buildings would have probably been having to spawn thousands upon thousands of props just to get the right color to spawn.

But now we have the ability to set the materialindex so it shouldnt be a big issue except having to go through the entire maps nooks and crannies to make every furnite piece look right.

TLDR: ALL THE FURNITE GREEN

Also two buildings inside of Farsala have gaps under their foundations.
