First, I’m sorry if maybe the “History Mode” has been already talked about.
Today I got an idea about add a story mode on Unturned 4.x, It would be a kind of adventure on every maps.
Actually It could be like GTA adventure. However the goal wouldn’t be to get rich by robing banks, but to survive with NPCs or if possible, with others reals players.
Here, I think it would be the first time that there is an history mode for a survival game, This would be amazing! (I’m not sure, am I wrong?)
I saw a comment on a devlog of Nelson that there will be Bandits NPCs, so in this mode, you could be a leader of a community, and fight other(s) community(ies).
Your choices and actions will change the end of your adventure.
And now I’m thinking about if you would be able to change a map in-game (in all modes, or only in this mode?) and create your own story on your own map thanks to editor.
Makes sense, though it seems more like a thing totally up to the community for curated maps or stuff alike.
EDIT: I really like the idea, but honeslty Idk if others would agree nor if Nelson is even planning to implement it on the game. Either way, it would be neat.
It would be more a kind of begining in a specific place, where NPCs tell you why you’re here, what happened (Infection) and welcome you in their base, and then, you begin a adventure with them. Maybe there could be planned hordes in the adventure where you have to save the base.
it makes sense, to finally add some sort of a story, all we have is some stuff about scorpion-7 and we know the coalition and thats all, no real hint to what hapenned in the unturned world but making an entire story would take long so I think putting an introduction to unturned (like a cutscene) that shows what hapenned.
but I would love a story mode that the player has control over its ending, on what side he is, and how the story goes (honestly I’d be a “lone wolf” helping perhaps NPC survivors and saving them from bandits)
I mean, we technically know where how each nation got infected, and how each mutation was created, and what created the zombies, and how it spread so efficiently.
