Less gun damage on xombies

In unturned 3.x, it takes 1 bullet to the head on normal unarmored xombies. And only 2 bullets to the head of an player. In order to increase the difficulty in 4.x, i suggest the xombies require at least 3 hits to the head on xombies without a helmet and 5 to military xombies to increase the difficulty. Cuz as of now, anyone can raid an entire city and emtpy it of xombies without a single issue.
So I hope 4.x will make it much harder and require much more skill to survive a raid at the food store.
PS: This has nothing to with damage on players. Only xombies

No don’t make guns unrealistically useless, just make assault rifles and ammunition rarer, and have more things like bows, air rifles, and muskets

This exactly.

Why do you think literally every game with guns doesn’t just nerf them to the ground damage wise?

There’s many solutions, like limiting the accessibility of midgame and endgame guns.

Almost all of them deal 99 zombie damage in 3.0. That includes pistols, rifles and almost all automatics. Sniper rifles have a bigger damage boost at 125/150 but that’s not even enough especially the cost of using one.

That’s why the Mega zombie is easy to beat because it literally takes only a mag or two to take one down

Maybe the zombie damage should be the same as the player damage, but it’s slightly reduced for automatic while high-powered rifles have a larger damage boost.

I meant the xombie damage. I never even talked about damage on players

Well, other games are meant to be FPS games to make mistakes punishing and victories rewarding.

Plus, I didn’t talk about player damage. Only xombie damage.

(I’ll fix the post a bit)

I believe zombies in Unturned 4.x should keep the one-shot-head-shot but this rule must depend on what type of headgear zombies are wearing.
Example:

  • No Headgear = One shot
  • Light Headgear(Bicycle Helmet) = 1-2 shots depending on caliber
  • Medium Headgear(Police Helmet) = 1-2 shots depending on caliber
  • Heavy Headgear(Military Helmet) = 2-3 shots

Then it wouldn’t make much of a difference. The average city xombies can easily be killed with a colt or 1 mag of an Eaglefire without facing any problem.
So 2 shots to the head on the ones with no helmet is the least it should go for otherwise it’s gonna be too easy

Helmets already have an effect on zombies, and it doesn’t make much of a difference needing as it is. If the game does not get a “horde mentality” in regards to zombies, then weaker weapons need to do less damage to zombies.

Weapons in singleplayer is a joke to people because almost every weapon, regardless of where you found it or how expensive it is to maintain, can sweep a town clean.

Additionally, all clothing (in 3) can have an effect on zombies already. They have the same effect on zombies as they do players, which means making heavy headgear take upwards of 3 shots means it’d be reducing damage by 55%. People can take that as they may, though, since PvP needs rebalancing to succeed in 4 anyways too.

Ah, I see now…

Thank you for explaining a part of my point
