Lets talk about Aves!

birds could be huntable in areas, or only certain types of birds to be huntable

Large birds that hang out on the ground unless spooked could still be pretty distinct from small birds that flit between fences, wires, bushes, trees, and/or flowers. Of course there are some examples of birds that aren’t necessarily easy to place in either classification, but if we look at more extreme examples, an ostrich or emu should definitely not be purely aesthetic, but a hummingbird would be. Maybe it would be easier to sort them if there was a third group for large sea birds, carrion eaters, and birds of prey that spend most of their time up in the air or in specific perches/nesting areas, but sometimes swoop down to get food.
