Ok, we have PEI Grass and dirt, but we don’t have Russia grass, Germany grass, Washington grass (or i’m blind, am i?). We have to change materials in game files and it’s takes a long time… They have to be added to editor with a new name.
Right now the legacy editor (the editor you’re using) doesn’t support any more than 8 materials without a major rework, so this isn’t possible. What you could do when making a map, is either 1. Copy the Materials.unity3D and the Details.unity3D files into your map. This can be done by navigating to the Unturned folder, and then the Maps folder, and then the map that you wish to copy the terrain from. From there navigate to the Terrain folder, and copy the files Materials.unity3D and Details.unity3D. Put the copy of those files in the same folder, but in the folder for you map. Or, you could 2. Use the devkit. Although the devkit is still somewhat experimental, it has a great system for using materials, and you will be able to use all of the materials in your map, or even a mix of materials from different maps.
One thing that we could see added to the game to make this easier for those of us who use the legacy editor, is an option to choose which set of materials and details we want before creating a map.
That answer was like “shut up you don’t know anything” lol. Thanks btw.
