We’ve recently upgraded the site from 1.31.x (legacy LTS) to 1.35.x (stable LTS). Lots of stuff broke, but most of the issues have been resolved, and many backend improvements have been made.
- Updated to MediaWiki version 1.35.x LTS.
- Renewed configurations of various extensions for 1.35. Extensions that are were longer compatible, were not being used, or were ineffective have been removed entirely.
- Removed/replaced deprecated site settings, and increased autoconfirmed requirements.
- Updated PHP from 7.2 to 7.3.
- Updated many other dependencies, and resolved several previously pending dependency issues.
- Resolved a server environment locale issue.
- Various security updates.
