We all know that 3.x has added these special zombies that has some strange fantasy-like abilities. These range from regulars that explode on death to megas that shoot lightning when in range. Initially some people don’t like it because it’s ‘Unrealistic’ (I mean it’s obviously a ridiculous reason considering the goofy nature of this game), but then most (if not all) seem to get used to it, save for newbies having problems against them.
When 4.x is announced I was thinking if there should be any changes to zombie types whether it is to keep it like in 3.x or only body types should be used (Crawlers, Flankers and Megas) for a more serious and realistic approach to the game

I like the flanker, but I don’t like how unfun their movement AI is.
Otherwise, I’d like to see special zombies come back, but play a bigger role in progression. Zombies should get tougher with better loot, and thus, special zombies should appear more often in military bases (and there should be some much stronger ones that show up in say deadzones).
Especial zombies? yes, but it depends
Burner is a piece of shit.(just remove it)
Flanker should spawn in dark places.(need rework)
Acid splitter is just fine.(is just a L4D infected)
Gotta agree with @CrimsoN. I like all the current zombies, they should just be tweaked to feel better. All the zombies are way too easy as it is.
Flanker AI is far too predictable and easy to cheese.
I feel like Burners need a redesign in general to not only be more consistent, but to also better do their intended job.
Sprinters, Crawlers, Megas, Hypers, Radioactive Zombies, and Normal zombies all just need better AI. I wouldn’t mind giving the Mega Zombies a new trick either, or a rework of the boulder throw.
Zombie Bosses are cool, but I kinda wish they spawned naturally on all maps with the default “normal” difficulty. The lightning zombie is especially nice, but all of them in general could do with reworked attacks.
Zombies do a terrible job at swarming and cutting the player off. Fix this before considering the addition of any additional zombie types beyond the normal walker-guy.
What if the zombie bosses were added to 4.x, but were very rare spawns naturally unless there was a base left unused and unclaimed by its builder for too long… and they just came to clean it from the server for us?
Alright so we can say that they could return but like all zombies their AI needs to be improved on so they are a real threat compared to the easy and more simple zombies we have right now
