Preview – 3.25.6.0 Changelog

Preview branch version 3.25.6.100 is now available. This information may change between now and the update’s official release.

Warning

Please note: New versions on the preview branch are designed to load older saves (backwards compatibility). However, the public branch typically cannot load saves made with newer versions (forwards compatibility). Therefore, if you plan to switch back to the public branch before the update is officially released, we recommend that you avoid loading important saves on the preview branch. Additionally, make sure to back up any maps before saving them in the level editor.

Finally radius of workstations is reduced! Best update related to workstations! Also love the favorite button, much better with these improvements

just give us an option for either new or old ui vro :rose:

I like the favorites system, but I feel like it’s been implemented a bit poorly. The current location of the favorite button will likely be overlooked by normal players. Imo it’d be better as an independent toggle button right below the ignored button. Either this, or it should be made more noticeable that you can toggle it to favorite

On another note, the favorite category is completely different from all other categories. All the other ones are just square icons while the favorites have a large named box. Imo It should be one or the other, not both.

Not happening. The old UI doesn’t support the new features

I would like to add here.
Favorite button looks not really good alongside with all others. I would suggest making all of them like favorite button because most of the time when I am in a hurry I miss icons (aim skill issue). Also in a Favorite category put a text like Click a star near the item to make it favorite. This is my suggestion

Also, to favorite an item, you have to click on it under the Craft button. It’s actually inconvenient to click on it. Why not just make STAR clickable? For example, you can click on it (like a gray star) to make it favorite (it will turn gold or white), and click again to make it unfavorite.

Made a cleaner version of what TSB and I are talking about

doesn’t matter old UI still better. Either completely copy the Rust UI or just give us an option for the old one. Literally 90% of the community doesn’t like the new UI. It feels like Nelson was being rushed by somebody to push the update out ASAP.

Just get used to it. A setting to change to the old ui is most likely not happening. It’d be too much effort to make sure both ui styles work for every crafting change. They’d also have to redesign the old crafting ui anyways to make sure it can support custom categories and workstations
