Raiding and Bases

My biggest problem that i would like to see changed in 4.x is the imbalance of raiding, i find that it is way to easy to get a group of people together and cheese a horde beacon to get 5 times as much loot as you should, much of it would end up being dragon fangs and ammo for them, i find that when ever this happens which ever group did this first goes through and raids every base that they can find which usually will end up killing a server quite quickly.

I would also like to see changes to actual base design, as it stands the best method for making a base that will last is making a glitch base that no one can raid or making a base so big no one has the time or resources to put into it.

overall i just feel like 4.x needs to really change how these aspects work to make the end game a more fun experience.

I hope it can be raid with tools but it will take a long time.
horde should drop only normal weapons and ammunition.
remains to be seen, what will Nelson do?

okay.

Stop posting stupid pictures. I may look offending, but it’s really annoying

Personaly i think that whould make them useless, mean who whould honestly get 100’s of ammo to get the same common/uncommon gear you have already?

I think is that, you know how nelson stated certain weapons can go through certain objects and still hurt players (and the object still stands?), I think every gun with exeption of railguns, should do unoticable (0.1 hp or so, not 15 as of now) damage and just go through the walls hitting those behind with .5 damage multiplyer or less. And the guns that can do that to be mainly sniper or marksman rifles.

Or…how about the more reasonable solution of never implementing horde beacons into 4.0.

They aren’t realistic at all, and that is what Nelson is going for, so…

Meat in a box?

You are right, horde beacon is not realistic
gun raid si not realistic

bank breakers use tools
-hammer, axe
-drill
-crow bar
…

NELSON WE WANT REALISM!!

And a little bit of balance [quote=“Ivan, post:7, topic:3506”]

You broke the quote box

I don’t know why it’s doing that, maybe because it’s sent from my phone

Raiding with melee shouldn’t happen, or should happen for really, really basic building tiers.

Otherwise, I’d like to not see horde beacons at all in 4.0, but if they return I really hope for a more challenging experience that doesn’t drop as many raiding tools.

I think some basic ways to improve bases and raiding is to remove/rebalancing easy raiding tools (LMGs), add more and better traps, more security, making higher tier raiding tools uncraftable (cough charges cough), adding more tiers to both buildings and raiding supplies, and making it easier to get a proper base set up but harder to get a long term, fully metal base working. Higher tier buildings should also be a lot harder to destroy.

How about making horde drops based on the zombies’ drops? If you put a Horde Beacon at a camp, It gives you camping/fishing gear for days. So It can give you a challenge to actually initiate a Horde at a military location.
