Add new buildables crafted out of sandbags. Things like barricades and fortifications for doorways and windows, and standalone walls/windows that don’t require a floor.
Why? You just can stack them on each other
It would be easier and cleaner to use.
Rather than crafting different things out of sandbags, instead there should probably be an ‘auto-fill’ of sorts when placing sandbags in various places. As in, different models would be used for placed sandbags depending on where it’s being placed to best fit it. Since most doorways and windows will (probably?) be the same size, then just a few models are needed to cleanly fill in the window/doorway. It’d be a snap-on type placement (hopefully with a toggle to disable the feature for specific circumstances), much like physical doors and glass windows just snap into place when placing. Don’t really need a whole other item.
If it’s done well that could work…
I would like to just put a quck Watchtower of sandbags by one click
What do you want next, being able to build an entire base in one click?
I’ll pass.
I wouldn’t mind a “Master Building Tool” being used to near instantly create the framework of a structure, and then either manually filling in the walls, doorways, and window frames or automatically filling them in with sandbags, stones, bricks, boards, sheet metal, concrete, window panes, doors, metal bars, or whatever material you chose to place there, in a similar fashion to however crafting times will be implemented.
It sound’s like a great idea, but its a bit too ambitious for the time being.
This would be a pretty neat idea for 4.0 or II
@The_Amazing_fish first of all, this is an UII suggestion. Not sure if you were aware, but you worded your reply as if the suggestion was for 3.0.
Secondly, for the both of you to know, it’s on the SDG Wiki’s Upcoming Features list, meaning it’s very probable to make it in at this point.
Already in UI, don’t see any reason why it wouldn’t be in UII
I already linked to the Trello card. Why are you telling me about a secondary source based on that Trello card?
Oops, mostly I was replying to the other guy and overlooked your comment
Mk, sorry, it was a bit unspecific
