Separate Senstitivity Multipliers for Different Aim Modes

I’m used to play FPS games with less down-sights sensitivity than on hipfire, and the lack of such adjustments makes coming back to Unturned after long sessions of the latter is pretty rough. I suggest the addition like this:

  • Hipfire Sensitivity (the base multiplier)
  • Sights Sensitivity (for iron and holographic sights)
  • Scope Sensitivity (for magnifying sights)

Thanks for reading

i don’t see why hipfire and sights sensitivity should be separate. they have the same zoom in unturned (i.e. none) so what’s the point

I think this would be pretty good if we had it separated for hipfire and then sights and scopes are the same thing.

that’s not very good either since scopes require a lot more accuracy then regular sights

Good point

Sights might have the same zoom as hipfire but you probably want more accuracy with them than with firing from your hip, since you’re not gonna do 180 turns zoomed in. Besides, literally every FPS game I’ve played has this feature and that’s probably because people use it.

not really. the only reason sights are even used at further ranges then hipfire is because hipfire is supremely inaccurate anywhere past like…30 meters (depending on the weapon of course), and at ranges where people generally use non-scope sights the hipfire sensitivity is generally practical enough

jesus tap-dancing CHRIST, how high is your sensitivity mate?

what? i know there’s scope sensitivities, but sight sensitivities?

I can name a major example off the top of my head - PUBG.

In PUBG there are different sensitivities for not only every aim mode, but also every zoom magnification. This includes the standard 1x zoomless opticals. Frankly I’d like to see something like this in Unturned.

that sounds…quite overkill. but intriguing.

You might not use it, but there are lots of people that do, so it should be in Unturned, period.

pubg is STILL the only example i’ve been given, and frankly that game is kind of a broken mess at the moment, so…

you may not like it, but this is what peak performance looks like

you also have CS:GO, Fortnite and Black Squad.

CS:GO LITERALLY cannot count because the only aiming it has is with scopes and Fortnite is totally third person

black squad is interesting i guess though

Fortnite has scope sensivity and it’s very goddamn useful.

okay, but…i’m fine with scope sensitivity

Gotta clarify that I think Whistleblower is just confused over games having a scope sensitivity per zoom level, I believe. That, and possibly games sensitivity for sights that aren’t magnified.

Personally, I think the latter makes perfect sense to ask for. You aim down sights to be more accurate, even if it’s not a scope. Most games do this automatically based on a multiplier iirc, though there are some that let you change it yourself.

As for individual scope sensitivities, I think I’d be fine with it just being some sort of automatic multiplier too, so it’d reduce your sensitivity exponentially as you increased your magnification. Make it change based on the FOV change that occurs or whatever.

It’s not a huge deal to me personally if either receive super-specific settings you can tweak, but I guess I’m not really going to object to such things.

fair enough

Most games do this automatically

Also important to note that Unturned is no exception. It’s pretty apparent that you adjust your aim slower looking through a 16x scope vs with ironsights, vs hipfire.
