Something needs to change

Nelson, I love you, but something needs to change. You have taken this game so far as a 1 man dev team, but it’s no longer enough. This game and our community deserves more. There’s so much potential in this game that’s being wasted because you only have so much time you can spend devving. There’s so many things that need fixed or could be added that just won’t be because you have so much on your plate. The amount of times I’ve seen “I’ll do it in the future” or “Maybe later” is crazy.

Now, I’m not saying open source it. That would take years. I’m saying to either hire official SDG devs to help you, or commission more people to update vanilla and do advertising while you focus on developing new stuff and fixing the old stuff. Or both. There’s just too much stuff that needs to be done for you to do it all yourself. Please let us (or literally anybody) help you

We all love this game and want it to succeed

I’ve been very slow working on it due to my own personal issues, but I’ve had plans for years of working on my own set of modding tools. I don’t know how many other people are working on things like mine specifically for Unturned, but I’m making it with the idea of having it be something that I can eventually implement into any games of my own that I create.

My main interest still lies with the hopes and dreams of what Unturned II could have been, but I keep debating whether I want to return to U3 and do something big there or if I should continue to branch out into my own projects.

We’ve mentioned it a couple times on the forum, but both of these things (open-sourcing and looking into contracting/commissioning more vanilla content) are things we want to do. You are correct that open-sourcing is a larger project that’d take much longer.
