We’ve decided to start a movement. It’s getting quite ridiculous how much Nelson is changing about Unturned. With most of these updates being not even slightly perceived well by the community. This is killing the competitive side of Unturned, and so PeekSeek, Freezzer, PandaHut’s Unturnov, Rusturned and much more.
Unturned is much more than a survival game now, and SDG should embrace this and focus on quality of life instead of dropping a bomb that completely changes the game every month. We cannot learn a new game over and over. Unturned is Unturned, the fast paced quake-like dual perspective shooter, not whatever SDG is trying to make it into.
We want to stop these updates and possibly even revert some changes. And we hope you can support is in this. I’ve made a petition @ Petition · Stop changing Unturned's PVP - Netherlands · Change.org and I will also make some polls here, please share your opinion in #general and share the petition so us at team PeekSeek can approach SDG about this nonsense.
I too think the game should never change and all its archaic design should be treated as dogma so the game never attracts a new audience and can die with the current player base
Everyone that says the game’s dead fails to notice that we’ve been here before. Unturned has hit these player counts in both 2014 and 2019. It’s 100% possible for it to gain more players just like it did in the past
I ain’t a tryhard but this guy does have a fair point. I am happy to see Unturned finally getting updates more often, but from what I’ve been seeing, there is too much being changed for no clear reason. The scope thingy is good I guess, I haven’t touched the game since the crafting update but I might eventually check it out. Anyway, I don’t like how there is now more difference between difficulties regarding the 3rd person recoil, etc. This adds in confusion, especially to the new players. So you get a feel of a gun, go play on a different server and you don’t recognize what’s happening. Yes, we need new players, that’s why there were people asking for UI changes to make it more accessible - so we did get an update, several, in fact, but the UI just got even more confusing. Then there was “online safety” update. Now people can’t have voice chat because people don’t read popups, because they don’t care. A core aspect of the gameplay element is removed just like that, you know what used to happen on arenas in the waiting room, all of that is practically gone now. The crafting update with those workbenches, seriously? Yes, they can be disabled in the server config, but again, why introduce so much confusion between the servers, we barely have enough good servers to play at anyway. We never got official servers, providing the gameplay experience “as meant to be played”. Right now this game is trying to be some sort of an offbrand Rust clone, and it is bad that it is like that, Unturned has always had its own thing going and that’s what kept people coming back. I have almost completely switched to Rust now due to all of those changes, sure, that game has its own weaknesses, sure, I suck at it, but ultimately now that Unturned has lost its face, Rust is the better pick out of two.
“competitive side” and “peekseek, freezzer, pandahut, rusturned” in one sentence XD!!!
All the changes are good btw, we need more updates. The only problem I personally have with all these updates is all the UI changes that don’t really help new players (server browser, crafting UI, and so on). Everything else is good. I didn’t like the scope update at first because it was really buggy, but it got fixed.
A lot of the UI changes are requirements. For example, the crafting UI had to be changed to add custom crafting tags and workstations. The old ui just wouldn’t work with the new features. The server browser is fair though. The new ui might have more features, but the old one was a lot easier to use (And most of the features could’ve worked with the old ui)
