The Ghost Update (TGU - Or whatever other name to call it)

Dear nelson , did you just try to calm down the whole community with an update that comes with a ghost zombie? , Did you really , Just try to calm down the childish community that way? , boi we already got a ghost zombie that gets invisible when he see´s you , kind of a stalker but nelson , try a better way plox , <3.

The Spirit Zombie has been planned for several months. It is intended as part of the content of an upcoming map. Alongside it, on the curated map, will be the Nuclear Spitter Zombie Boss. The Spirit Zombie, currently, is not even intended to be found normally on any official or curated map.

Now, moving on from that. The Flanker does not function the same as the Spirit Zombie. I think that’s pretty self-explanatory though. The Spirit Zombie is more comparable to a Burner Zombie if anything, minus the whole “explosion into mutating fire” thing, and (Spirit Zombies) being more easily killed with melee than guns.

You could, yes, say that it being in the Gameplay Config before the map has been added is a way to “calm down the childish community.” However, I’m not sure why a “childish community” is relevant to its earlier addition, and we can even more easily say it has been added before the map as not only a way to tide the childish community over, but also to tease the upcoming map.

If you perhaps don’t like them, then you can choose to not play with them until they seem more “interesting” to you with the “more complete” content release. Since you seemed adamant on them being added to tide you and other certain community members over, perhaps you’ll be more interested in other features like:

  • the addition of the -disableModule/ModuleName command line option,
  • nighttime lights now being moddable. [See /Objects/Medium/Furniture/Light_3. Requires a child named “Light”],
  • or the server rate limit preventing several more potentially spamable actions.

tl;dr: Not every feature being added is meant for you, or “childish community members.” This zombie type has been planned for a new map for a long time, and this teases that map being closer to completion as Nelson himself works primarily on Pineridge’s props.

Unless that regular comes forward, there’s no reason to assume. Unless you already know that it happened as you suggested, in which case, it would be helpful if you were more forthcoming.

Regular rank is automatically removed if the requirements for it aren’t met monthly iirc.
