UI editor mode

I think everyone who played unturned has once wanted to change how the UI look, while this post might not be the best post about the UI, but hopefully it inspires Nelson to do something similar.

Here’s the first picture, I’ll leave it speak for itself

This is what you should see when you enter the UI editor (Health and text above it excluded lol), you have an option to add and delete an element(I forgot to put a restore default button). When you click “Add element” a menu should pop up that lets you choose what the element is(Water, food, stamina… etc), and when you choose for example lets say health, a big menu will appear that lets you choose the shape of the element, I put the shapes that I could think of in this picture:

(You can use more than one shape for each element).

Now for the thing I always wanted, the goddamn ugly chat in 3.0 should be replaced with this

(same thing with ammo box)

While this might be an overkill on Nelson to work on, in my opinion it will be worth it, since everyone would choose the screen they want to see.Like in Team Fortress 2 for example, if you watched any youtube video about it you’ll notice that the health and ammo and other elements look different than yours.

What do you think of this topic? Let me know in the comments, and thanks for reading(if you did).

mmmmm yeas, can confirm

First screenshot is redundant and limiting. Second is more redundant and limiting. Third is pretty ugly imo, although I assume it was just a quick mock-up, and really the main thing I’d appreciate is a text-fade over time.

UI customization shouldn’t be restricted between certain shapes or grid alignment positions, and stick with the whole free-form UI reskin modding. Unturned 3 can have UI skins too, except they’re documented in zero way and nobody knows how to do them, just the fact that they’re possible.

I love how you can easily type “@[playername]” instead of pressing Shift + Tab and sending a steam message.

cool idea !
