Unturned 4.0 map suggestions

Dude for big maps there must be big servers taht means servers of size up to 300 players on 1 extreme map, we would also need a better community becose the comunity we have today is something like this: “Hey Max did you find some server where we can play ?. Well i found one server. How much people and map ? There are 8 people on PEI. O hell no better Russia empty.”

So there is the problem.

PEI will most likely be done.

Alpha Valley I can almost certainly say will be the first map. It’s small, simple, and was the first map 3.0 ever got.

I’m personally planning on remaking Yukon for 4.x so if Nelson doesn’t do it I could do it.

Washington will also most likely be remade, it’s rather popular.

With the larger maps, they might not be remade. As they would take a lot of time, with the 2 upcoming curated map they could be remade for 4.x by there respective teams.

Hawaii might be remade, but I can’t speak if Spyjack and the rest of the team are up for doing it.

California might be made, but don’t get your hopes up. There most likely won’t be one California map, CA is so massive, diverse, and misshapen that if it was going to get a map, it most likely would be like how Greece and Cyprus were handled, South would be the Large map, and the Bay Area might be a Medium map.

Are you thickskulled? 2.0’s map was PEI, 3.0s was Alpha Valley ( which wasn’t named that at first) so how does that have any correlation to what the first map of 4.0 will be? The first map IS going to be Pineridge. Nelson has said, "finishing up Pineridge. On his GitHub, it says “complete Pineridge.” Also, these posts 21 days after the topic was forgotten are king of irrelevant. Nothing new to the table was brought up.

The first map has been confirmed for months to be Pineridge.

I don’t see this happening, maps like Russia were far more popular and received more critical acclaim. Washington has nothing particularly of interest other than being the most PvP-oriented survival map in the game.

Well, you see, Canada is easily 10x more diverse than California, in addition to being absolutely massive, but Nelson went ahead and made a Canada map (albeit it being removed in a later stage of development). So diversity is certainly not a factor against a map’s creation, especially considering the new fronts of map creation that are now possible with a new engine.

I wasn’t aware of this.

I meant more of it being the most popular PvP map, probably should have said that… Though yes Russia is popular, though it’s rather big, and because of that you can go a long time without seeing anyone, though I don’t know server sizes might be larger.

I can’t really come with a good response to this one. I was more thinking this because of the Desert like south with Death Valley, and the more Forest and Suburban Bay Area, with some of the last surviving Redwood forests on the Planet. With the whole “might not get made” thing, I was more talking about it as 1 joint map.

Look I never said this should be the first map released. Pineridge is something like devtest and it will be the first map but these are just suggestions for a possible official map in the far future.

Maybe 4.0 can bring back the old players who don’t play because the 3.0 game is PVP oriented back

PEI is like the most classic map which was in 2.0 and 3.0 so it’s a high chance Nelson could add it some time after Pineridge.

It will, I know someone who should come back if 4.0 changes.

South america maps should be curated, made by someone that lives here, that know our architecture and culture.

Who? (10 oof limit)

An old friend. His name is Hudson and he’s a turd.

Why does everything have to be in the U.S or Canada? There are other parts of the world, you know.

This be a necropost, but did you not read other people ideas from up above?

aye, I just meant in response to all the detailed parts of America and Canada the original post detailed

Nelson himself is from Canada and also visited the US. It will easier for him to recreate a north american map than a map based somewhere in asia.

Canada both have a rather similar climate, geography, and architecture, a mountain range that starts in the US will most likely continue into Canada. It also helps that Nelson is from Canada.

Curated projects usually are of different parts of the world, sure Hawaii is the US, but it’s quite different from the rest of the US. Greece is Europe, we have some new curated projects coming up, I would give details of the maps but i’m unsure if I have the permission to, if you want to spoil the maps for yourself, they have been mentioned many times on this forum and the Modject discord… And there are plenty of other projects that are aiming for curation. For example, I’m working on Sweden, and I know of a couple projects based on Asia and North Africa.

Then increase the max players, 24 players is too low for asurvival game.

There are plenty of great survival games that are exclusively singleplayer. Why would 24 players be too few for a survival game?

Unturned is not based in singleplayer. At least not 3.0. Unturned should have more ppl, because yeah we can find players in PEI and Washington, great maps, but in those maps you can gon to every city in just 30-40 minutes. And in other maps like Russia, finding another player is almost impossible, and thats not fun. Making friends in servers finding other players is something that almost every survival game should have. Also, maps in Unturned are going to be bigger in general…
