Unturned has evolved so much from U2

I started playing around the time right before U2.0 was released. So i personally cant see that much that has changed except a bunch of UI stuff, and some minor additions to the base-game (vanilla)

Can anybody tell me about anything else that has been changed.

I haven’t really looked at any logs or etc. so I’m wondering how the game differs from U2.0

Unturned (3.0) and Unturned (2.0) are very different content-wise – they’re functionally different games. 3 was rebuilt from the ground up.

3.0 has more game mechanics (e.g. weather, airdrops, deadzones, NPC quests), item types, vehicle types (e.g. trains, boats, planes), and enemy types. Crafting is more straightforward than 2.0 (e.g., base building components). Inventory management isn’t based on weight, but slots / item size.

There’s more maps and a level editor, and we provide official modding support for the game. Some community-created maps are accepted into the game, and provide unique spins on gameplay (e.g., different progression systems). Game mods can be downloaded from the Steam Workshop.
