Singleplayer Plugin Access. With included Official plugins as “New Scopes” “Tables” “New Crafting” Ect.
Any Update Will Never Be an issue anymore, since the player can physically choose NOT to play with the plugins or / Official Updates. Meaning If it’s a bad plugin it’s not as bad as having a huge issue with the offical server. (This also solves a few issues with the new Stop Changing Unturned Movement.)
We have the option to get multiplayer plugins on a Singleplayer world. Such as /home /Gadd Ect using the Workshop.
Question 1. Why do I Suggest this?
Answer 1. When you have an issue with unturned’s new updates you can Opt out by not enabling the “Offical Plugin”
Question 2. Why do we want Multiplayer plugins available?
Answer 2. We could have /home, /garage, /vault, / Anything. the possibilities of modding become endless. You can have interactable Computers. IN SINGLEPLAYER. This is a great addition because with this you’d be able to have More UI’s capabilities and to be able to feature themselves in Official / New Maps under the Curated sections.
Question 3. How much of a big impact would this have on Unturned?
Answer 3. Everything, A huge Change in the modding community, Curated community, Server Community and Single Player Options.
This Update could be HUGE. I’m that confident this is worth inputted into the game. So much so, I will literally be held countable if this goes south if it’s featured as an update. And yet I know it won’t.
You can already use “/teleport bed” in Singleplayer as a home teleport. Vaults are unnecessary for singleplayer if you use the home teleport, just use lockers or storage at home. You can always use the teleport command to get back to wherever you were before anyways.
This has been suggested before and was denied because singleplayer plugins are a massive security flaw. If this existed, anyone on the workshop could post a plugin giving the maker all of the user’s info
Good Joke. The stop changing unturned movement doesn’t want options. They want Unturned to stay the same forever. They’ve been confronted with the option of their own version and they don’t want it because “it’d split the community”
Couldn’t the same be argued for Multiplayer servers? And there are steps of measures that can be put in place to make sure that it’s not malicious.
It’s a big cope to say Massive Security Flaw. You see them all the time, there are ways around it.
I can give an example. (not a great one but could work) You could make it where you’d have to get it verified, Or you have to do it on the website rather than steam.
Stop Changing Movement is “It’s getting quite ridiculous how much Nelson is changing about Unturned. With most of these updates being not even slightly perceived well by the community. This is killing the competitive side of Unturned”
Making the new updates into “Official plugins” give an option to OPT OUT. The reason this would solve a few issues is that you don’t use those options. It’s simple. (Just Checked as well 2D scope can be enabled again but the rest I’m not so sure)
The reason I suggest this is a clear form of clarity in if you want it enabled or not.
I didn’t know /teleport bed was a thing tbh. That was actually new to me. That’s actually going to solve a lot of issues I have now and here. But the reason is convivence, Maybe the player wants a plugin on his or her single player world.
maybe a developer / creator wants to build something using GUI’s from my knowledge you can only do through a plugin smoothly,
Not just that but when you do it in a single player world you can build and experiment for multiplayer servers as a precaution if it is somewhat damaging through bugs or glitches. For example when specifically adding a new plugin but you want to test it without getting another server or damaging the current one.
There’s a difference between using plugins that are often through a respected website or open source and using a plugin that you can’t see the code of through steam.
I would personally be good with it if there was a verification process though. Modules already exist but nobody uses them for non-modding tools because you can’t use them while you have battleye enabled.
The people behind the stop changing movement did a vote and a majority of their fans said they didn’t want any survival changes. They only want nothing-updates like adding more crosshair options
Also, Nelson offered to give them their own version of the game with all the old movement, gunplay, etc. They said they don’t want it because it’d “split the community”. They don’t want a choice concerning the new Nelson changes; they don’t want the changes to even exist. They want Unturned to be stuck with the old stuff forever
