It’s likely due to however Nelson has material baking set-up in 4.x currently, where it likely just switches to a dirt material whenever props are detected. If so, what he should do is make it so certain objects can bypass that rule (either for that object globally, or done on a per-object basis similar to how manually selecting a specific color palette for a building should be possible).

I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that Steve was actually referring to how the blades of grass look like they’ve been cut, as at the tips they have a squared edge instead of a point (unless that’s also what you were referring to?)

I estimated how many polys are on that fence and on each fence theres about 200 polys, pretty detailed
