Iv’e played unturned on my brothers pc when it was in 2.0 does that count or is it only for 1.0 players.

Nope you need to have played it before it was publicly put on steam by using a steam product key. (this next part might be wrong) iirc people who had gold prior to the steam release were linked to a website that let them claim it.

The Crimson Beret is awarded to people who played the original Unturned 1.0 before Unturned was even publicly released on Steam.
Not only is it unobtainable now, but only a select lucky few were even able to get keys for 1.0 to begin with.
