Wrap the tape around the battery holder first and then put the batteries on. So you can change the batteries when ever you need to.

It’s gonna drain them. And I don’t need them powered all the time.You want proof they work?
nah, just didn’t see any wire at all. I’d recommend a switch, but depending on how you connect it up this will do I reckon.
