These forums are here to provide our community with a public and open area for discourse. This is a place where you can discuss ideas, give suggestions, and otherwise talk about other aspects of Smartly Dressed Games' games with other players.

In addition to our Terms of Service, we provide the following guidelines for community conduct. This is a living document, and we review incidents on a case-by-case basis. These guidelines are not inherently exhaustive and may not address all forms of prohibited conduct.

Hateful Conduct

Hateful conduct is any content that promotes or facilitates discrimination, objectification, harassment, bigotry, or violence against another person based on various characteristics. Hateful conduct is prohibited.

  • This includes generalizations or hate speech based on: sex, gender, orientation, race, ethnicity, nationality, age, or religion.

Posting hateful imagery to the site, such as in a reply or as an avatar, is considered a form of hateful conduct. Examples of hateful imagery include:

  • Nazi symbolism
  • the Stormfront logo
  • the Celtic cross as used by white nationalists
  • Klan symbolism
  • the Aryan Fist

Harassment

Harassment is any content that attempts to intimidate, abuse, or bully others, and is prohibited. This includes threats of violence, sexual harassment, gender-based harassment, spreading disinformation, revealing personal information with malicious intent, submitting false reports or report brigading, and inciting others to harass.

Releasing personal information about other users in an attempt to encourage harassment against them through witch hunts or vigilantism is prohibited.

Disruptive Conduct

Any conduct which interrupts the general flow of the forum, or any other SDG medium, is prohibited.

  • Spamming is prohibited. Posting the same thing multiple times, posting gibberish, or making an unreasonable amount of consecutive replies, disrupts the flow of the forum.
  • Creating posts to cause unrest or disturbance is prohibited. The intent to derail a topic, troll other users, or start a flame war such as by intentionally posting inflammatory or off-topic remarks, disrupts the flow of the forum. Contributing to ongoing unrest or disturbance, despite not being the instigator, can result in moderation depending on the severity.
  • Manipulating the report system is prohibited. Creating false reports, or spamming multiple reports, is disruptive.
  • Bypassing the word censor is prohibited.

Unethical Conduct

To ensure a safe and friendly environment for users, unethical behavior is prohibited.

  • Do not promote illegal or dangerous behavior.
  • Respect users’ privacy. Do not use this site to violate the privacy of other users, or facilitate an abuse of privacy.
  • Refrain from engaging in flame wars. Users should not encourage any ongoing flaming, and participating users should take a break from the discussion as to avoid breaching any conduct policies.

Malicious Programs

Posting links to cheats, hacks, or malicious programs is prohibited. Information regarding cheats or hacks should not be posted to the SDG Forum.

  • Linking to malicious programs may result in an indefinite suspension.

Impersonation

Impersonation of individuals or groups, through the posting of content to misrepresent yourself or the manipulation of public account information, is prohibited.

  • Impersonation of SDG representatives may result in an indefinite suspension.

Account Management

Users are not allowed to trade, transfer, or sell their forum accounts. Advertising that you are looking for an account, or linking to an online marketplace for exchanging accounts, is also prohibited.

If a user wishes to have their account renamed, merged, deleted, or anonymized, these options are available upon contacting an appropriate staff member. A brand new user account may change their username within the first few days of their creation, without the assistance of a staff member.

Discretion

SDG, and forum staff, reserve the right to exercise discretion on severe violations and for other issues in which moderator action would be in the best interests of the community. Discretion also includes instances in which normal enforcement of rules may lead to a disproportionate outcome with respect to the current or prior incidents.
