How will making Unturned 4 f2p reduce the admin abuse issue that plagues Unturned 3 badly right now?

Well I assume the official servers won’t have any admin abuse… also simply don’t play on server with bad staff, and report them to the higher ranking staff. Purchase the premium pass and play official servers.
the most fool-proof way i can see myself playing on a server without admin abuse (since i like vanilla) will be paying for the official servers.

I guess that would solve the issue except for i fear that the premium will end like gold servers have ended for Unturned 3 where they’re pretty much nonexistent or no one plays on them.
Gold servers didn’t have any advantage, so anyone played in them

Well that’s up to you, you can’t really blame the owner of the server of using his powers as he wish, if you don’t like that the best way is just to find a new server to play in. But as Jaggo said the game is going to have a few official servers, so you can be sure that you won’t encounter that kind of problems there.
Admin abuse has never been a problem with the game. You have the community to thank for that.
That said even in 3.0 it’s laughably easy to avoid admin abuse, you can for instance play on vanilla servers or servers with cheats off.
In 4.0, I’m sure the overall quality of servers will increase as we see people shift away from mindless PvP and more towards actual survival.
You know, Admin abuse is when admins spawn stuff in/kill you in god mode or spawn in stuff. Also, what servers do you play on because i clearly have never played on your servers before.
Also im hopeful that unturned 4 will be full of less abusers

I just said that admin abuse is not a problem with the game itself, but with someone choosing a bad server, as well as with the huge number of squeakers in the community who really shouldn’t have a server to begin with.
It’s actually fairly easy to find a server without admin abuse, as that’s all I play on. There’s very clear red flags that tell me a server has something to be exploited or a bad staff roster before I even connect.
You say that as if somehow it’s something Nelson has to fix.
Yeah - I have only ever experienced admin abuse when playing:
- ‘creative’ type PvP servers. These are the servers where dying has little to no consquences and the game is, in essense, kill on site any player you come across (i.e. rated G Call of Duty).
- Role play servers. I call these ‘God’ severs. These are play at your own risk servers which try to institute rules on how players interact and what roles they can play. No zombies. No KoS (generally) The dudes who make the servers usually give themselves a god-like role.
If you play on any ofthe above type servers admin abuse should be expected. I have seen no admin abuse on PvE servers since there is no player on player violence. Every other PvP server that is not a ‘creative’ type that I have played on I have seen no admin abuse though I have heard there has been. For me this has not been a problem at all but I think your question is worth answering because you are not the only person I’ve heard upset about this. Maybe if you explain which servers you play on and detail the abuse this topic can take on a productive tone.

I have experienced the same except for 1 time on a semi vanilla server (all there was was /tpa no kits or anything else) and the admins were spawning mk2s horde beacons hells furys and one of them helped make glitched bases the other guy was threatening to ban for it and at the end the admins started tping everyone to them and doing mass murdering and then spawned so much stuff that it broke my unturned and almost made me restart my pc.
There have been some other semi vanilla servers and vanilla servers where the abuse with spawning stuff in and admins killing you by doing /kill for no reason, but this one is probably the worst/most abusive one ive experienced so far.

Well in my region I don’t encounter many abusive staff. I’d say it’s mainly on RP servers and very few on pvp for me.
