Yes, I fooled you, I am not based, for I am cringe.
Especially recently I’ve been watching a lot of anime recently and I wanted to put my thoughts down and review them because I think it’s fun, I’ll start off with a few shows, and I’ll add more reviews later
Of course, spoilers are ahead. You’ve been warned. I am not liable for any damage that may occure if you read this, if you understand sign here _______
Hunter x Hunter (2011)
This one is about a boy with an estranged father who is a “Pro Hunter” His father picked being a hunter over raising his child (Gon) and now Gon wants to become a hunter himself to understand why his father picked that profession over raising him. Over the course of the story he meets new friends, makes new enemies and all while trying too find his dad.
What I like about most in this show is how the relationships between protagonists and antagonists are very unique, take Hisoka for example, a self serving psychopath who is into fighting people and killing them, he wants to see those people with potential to grow up in being a worthy opponent. This trait makes his relationship with Gon and his friends very complex because it’s not simply “mm my enemy must die”. Simply put, it allows Gon not to feel super ill-willed towards him, because he knows there’s no reason too worry at the moment, allowing them to treat each other like regular people and not an actual enemy when they bump into each other.
The same goes for the Phantom troupe (An organization who kills and steals for fun) Stopped wanting to kill Gon and his friend Killua because they weren’t able to kill there real enemy, Kurapika. What’s interesting is that they even spared them twice while both times Gon/Kil where trying to capture them because of a bounty, some of the troupe members even like them and think they got guts.
Something I don’t like the show, after the yorknew auction arc, the author started to take more drastic turns with the story, in the following two arcs, Gon and Killua enter a game, while after that they’re trying to fight off a species of ultra-evolving ants that the property of food the ants eat will be applied too the offspring (ant eat bird, offspring get wings)
Tl;Dr relationship between protags and antags are complex enough for them not too KOS, as soon as they see each other it’s hard to put in words, but it’s pretty appealing too me.
The Promised Neverland
oh boy do i love eating kids for breakfast
The story is set in 2045, at an orphanage Emma lives with her 37 other orphans, life is great, they get good food, clean clothes get to go outside and play, have good education and are all taken care of under there loving mom. Emma, Ray and Norman specifically are the smartest and ace all of these tests. One night, one of the orphans Conny was “adopted” by a family, Emma and Norman notices she left he plushie so they go to return it towards her.
When they reach the gate where orphans are sent off, they realize something pretty fucked up - Conny has been killed and they find out that instead of being sent away to a family, they’re being sent to be butchered to become demon food.
After this, they tell Ray, and they start putting together plans to escape.
Moral ambiguity occurs to them, while Emma wants to rescue everyone, Ray suggest they just escape as the 3 of them, and maybe take 2 others (Specifically Don and Gilda, second in intelligence and age only too the three aforementioned).
What shines in this show is the intentions, psychology and planning that goes on around the characters. They’re mother finds out pretty quickly someone undiscovered the truth to the orphanage, and she starts too takes steps. Their goal is too get in there mother’s head and figure out a way too escape, the planning is incredible. You should watch it.
TL;DR orphans find out there orphanage is live stock for demons, they then start a escape plan to stop them from being eaten, you should watch it
Girls Und Panzer

Kimi no na wa (Your name)
This one is a movie. I fucking love this movie, it’s a romance story about two people who start body swapping and of course, chaos ensues. They end up falling in love but there’s another thing standing in the way. I’m going to leave this intentionally vague because although I had a warning, I genuinely really like this movie and want other people to have the chance to enjoy it. It’s also the top grossing film in japan as of Right now, which is also cool.
Watch it or I’ll start gatekeeping on what it means to be a regular.
I’ll add more soon, thank you for reading.
I haven’t been so diacritical since i’ve gotten into politics
