Butterfly Knife

I think it would be cool if you could do tricks with the butterfly knife, or if there was an animation where you open it when you equip it, similar to cs:go.

I also think it would be cool if when you stab someone the knife stays in them (or their dead body) and you would have to pull it out, you could decrease this chance by upgrading a skill.

The equip animation might be cool, but the second part is just unnecessary for Unturned.

the second part isn’t just unnecessary, it’s stupid. what kind of limp wristed idiot lets go of their knife after stabbing someone with it?

420, what you smoking

wait this is the weed

haha

kill me please

But your not the person in the game, besides it would only be a fairly small chance that it would happen

That happens with serrated weapons like chainsaws, but that doesn’t happen with knives because they have polished blades

Serrated butterfly knife?

Bike Lock melee weapon coming soon?

There’s literally nothing the butterfly knife can hook onto in order to get stuck (@Whistleblower the logical explanation why it is a bad idea)
Unlike huntsman knives, butterfly knives don’t have a hook to hang on to something inside the person. It just slides out like it did sliding in, except with less skin resistance

Weapons shouldn’t really get stuck in things (at least players).

Perhaps a rare chance for it to happen when dealing with zombies (depending on the melee type and such) but other than that I’d rather not see it.

Maybe arrows and thrown weapons could get stuck in their targets, but I’d rather not have players disarmed in videogames, since the disarming abilities would be OP and annoying, not to mention the player wouldn’t be able to feel that they’re losing their grip, and there is nothing they could do to fix that.

you mean no skill or experience with a knife, ever?

No one talked about disarming, or said it was a good idea in the first place tho
As far as I’ve seen at least

By disarming I meant any mechanic that forces the player to lose possession of the weapon they have equipped.
